Bahrain Defense Minister Receive US Delegation20 Apr 2017
Bahrain’s Defense Affairs Minister Lt-General Yusuf bin Ahmed Al Jalahma received a delegation from the US Congress, and discussed cooperation and topics of mutual interest, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The meeting was also attended by Bahrain Defense Force Inspector-General Major General Abdulla Hassan Al Nuaimi, Director of Logistics and Supply Major General Ali Sager Al-Nuaimi and Director of Military Cooperation Rear admiral Mohammed Hashim Al Saada.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Coast Guard Commander, Brigadier Alaa Siyadi, also received US Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, Vice Admiral Sandra Stosz.
The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Bahrain, William Roebuck, and US Military Attaché to Bahrain, Colonel Stephen Bosnit.
Brigadier Siyadi highlighted the significance of cooperation in promoting maritime security.
Security cooperation and coordination were discussed, as well as topics of joint interest.
Vice Admiral Stosz was briefed on the Maritime Operation Centre. She praised the cutting-edge technologies followed to provide advanced security services, wishing the Coast Guard Command further progress and success.
