  • Saudi Border Guards is participating in the joint Gulf naval exercise “Peace Gulf 6” that was launched Sunday in the Arabian Gulf with the coast guards of Bahrain and Kuwait, and the support of Saudi Security Aviation.
  • Bahrain International Defence Exhibition & Conference (BIDEC 2017) will feature a large Saudi Pavilion led by Military Industries Corporation (MIC) Saudi Arabia, who will be showcasing their defence equipment including the following:

    • Products of the Military Uniforms & Accessories Factory (MUAF)
    • Weapons & Ammunitions
    • Products of the Armored Vehicles and Heavy Equipment Factory (AVF)
    • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) which are produced by MIC
    • Military Radio Communication Devices (SDR), which are manufactured by MIC with sophisticated and advanced specifications
  • The BIDEC team are currently exhibiting at DSEI in London this week and are accompanied by a Bahrain Defence Force Delegation.

     

  • Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received Brigadier General HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Commander of the Royal Guard.

  • The French global technology leader in Defence, Security and Aerospace markets has joined BIDEC as Bronze Sponsor. They join Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin and Pegasus as sponsors of Bahrain’s first tri-service defence exhibition.

     

     

     

  • Bahrain’s National Guard’s Director-of-Staff, Major General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, received Kuwait’s Military Attaché to the Kingdom, Major General Ali Suleiman Al-Asaker, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, visited the Royal Guards Headquarters to honor Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Task Force 12, which participated in Operation Restoring Hope as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition mission to restore stability in Yemen.

    Upon arrival, the Crown Prince was received by Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma, BDF’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, Royal Guards Commander, His Highness Brigadier Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guards Special Forces Commander, His Highness Major Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and senior officers.

  • Bahrain’s Chief-of-Staff Major General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi (photo) chaired Monday the Joint Defence and Security Committee meeting at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command Headquarters in Manama.

    The committee discussed means to further develop the joint cooperation and coordination among the military and security agencies in the Kingdom that will consolidate the pillars of security and stability, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

  • Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, also Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, received King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, at King Abdulaziz International airport in Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

    Upon arrival at the airport, the King was received also by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior; Khalid Al-Isa, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, who is also the Head of the Royal Court; and Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, the Minister of Culture and Information.

  • Manama, July 23 (BNA): The Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC) is stirring up interest in Bahrain and abroad. The BIDEC 2017 website has attracted firms from the region and the world, as well as related establishments, ever since registration started last March.

  • Bahrain Defense Force (BDF)’s Chief-of-Staff Lt-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi (photo), welcomed at Bahrain International Airport Saudi Arabia’s Chief- of-Staff Lt-General Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Binayan, who is on a visit to the country to attend Bahrain International Defense Exhibition & Conference (BIDEC 2017).

    The BDF Chief-of-Staff wished his Saudi counterpart a pleasant and successful stay in Bahrain.

  • Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has announced the signing of a $3.8 billion deal with Lockheed Martin to buy 16 upgraded F-16 fighters.
