BIDEC Off-Site Activities

BIDEC will provide an international stage and meeting point for VIP delegates, visitors and organisations alike to view ground-breaking technology and strategies. BIDEC 2017 will showcase some unique off-site activities such as:

  • Parachute Demonstrations  - Companies will showcase their latest parachute systems in a pioneering display with the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). Visitors with the appropriate military free-fall license will be given the opportunity to trial these products.
  • Shooting Demonstrations - Delegates, visitors and military personnel will have the chance to test new firearms and ammunition that will be revealed at the event. 
  • Night Shooting DemonstrationsDelegates, visitors and military personnel will have the chance to test new night vision equipment, firearms and ammunition on a long-range shooting range in Bahrain Defence Force grounds.
  • Warship Display - VIP’s and visitors will have the opportunity to examine today’s most technologically advanced warships and naval fleets.
  • Military Vehicle Demonstrations - The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) alongside industry partners will demonstrate the latest cutting edge military vehicle capabilities on a specially designed course.

  • Bahrain’s National Guard’s Director-of-Staff, Major General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, received Kuwait’s Military Attaché to the Kingdom, Major General Ali Suleiman Al-Asaker, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, visited the Royal Guards Headquarters to honor Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Task Force 12, which participated in Operation Restoring Hope as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition mission to restore stability in Yemen.

    Upon arrival, the Crown Prince was received by Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma, BDF’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, Royal Guards Commander, His Highness Brigadier Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guards Special Forces Commander, His Highness Major Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and senior officers.
