His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received the US Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Michael Gilday (photo), and his accompanying delegation, at Riffa Palace in Manama.

HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister highlighted the strong historic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, particularly across military and defense joint cooperation, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister stressed the importance of further strengthening these ties as well as enhancing coordination across various fields.

HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister welcomed Admiral Gilday and his accompanying delegation and underscored the role played by the United States maintaining regional security and stability.

Furthermore, Bahrain’s Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, hosted a lunch banquet in honor of the US Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Mike Gilday, and his accompanying delegation.

The Minister lauded the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries. Senior BDF Officers also attended the launch banquet.

For his part, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, also received at the BDF General Command, the Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Mike Gilday, and his accompanying delegation.

Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi, and Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, were present.

The two sides reviewed the Bahrain-US joint military cooperation and coordination.

The Commander-in-Chief lauded the depth of the existing military relations between the two friendly countries.

In another development, BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received South Korean Military Attaché Colonel Kim Taekyun last week.

Defense Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, was present. The meeting discussed issues of common interest

The Commander-in-Chief praised the depth of the existing relations between the two countries, which are constantly witnessing development in various fields, especially in the field of military cooperation.
