  • The French global technology leader in Defence, Security and Aerospace markets has joined BIDEC as Bronze Sponsor. They join Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin and Pegasus as sponsors of Bahrain’s first tri-service defence exhibition.

     

     

     

  • Bahrain’s National Guard’s Director-of-Staff, Major General Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, received Kuwait’s Military Attaché to the Kingdom, Major General Ali Suleiman Al-Asaker, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, visited the Royal Guards Headquarters to honor Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Task Force 12, which participated in Operation Restoring Hope as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition mission to restore stability in Yemen.

    Upon arrival, the Crown Prince was received by Defense Affairs Minister, Lieutenant-General Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma, BDF’s Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, Royal Guards Commander, His Highness Brigadier Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guards Special Forces Commander, His Highness Major Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and senior officers.

  • Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, also Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, received King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, at King Abdulaziz International airport in Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

    Upon arrival at the airport, the King was received also by Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior; Khalid Al-Isa, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, who is also the Head of the Royal Court; and Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, the Minister of Culture and Information.

  • Bahrain’s Chief-of-Staff Major General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi (photo) chaired Monday the Joint Defence and Security Committee meeting at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) General Command Headquarters in Manama.

    The committee discussed means to further develop the joint cooperation and coordination among the military and security agencies in the Kingdom that will consolidate the pillars of security and stability, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

  • Manama, July 23 (BNA): The Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC) is stirring up interest in Bahrain and abroad. The BIDEC 2017 website has attracted firms from the region and the world, as well as related establishments, ever since registration started last March. 
  • Bahrain’s Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, conducted an official visit to the United States, during which he met US Secretary of Defense James Mattis at the Pentagon, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) reported.
  • Manama, July 17 (BNA): Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force, Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, received here today the Commander of Royal Military Police at the Jordanian Army, Brigadier-General Mukhallad Awadh Al-Zayood, and his accompanying delegation.
  • Manama, July 12 (BNA): A delegation from Bahrain Defence Force gave a briefing to Russian companies on Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC) 2017.
    The briefing at the headquarters of Rosoboronexport was held in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Russian Federation and was attended by the Ambassador of Bahrain to Russia, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Sa’ati, Colonel Adnan Mohammed Al-Sada, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Ali Al-Rowaie, and the representative of "Clarion Events", the organizer if the exhibition. 
  • Bahrain’sNational Guard Commander, Lieutenant-General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa (photo), received in Manama Wednesday, the UK Senior Defence Adviser to the Middle East, General Thomas Beckett, and his accompanying delegation, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • Bahrain’ Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed the importance of mutual understanding, collective efforts and joint coordination in consolidating peace and stability and preventing interference in domestic affairs for the aim of subverting countries’ security and stability, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received in Manama the Commander of the Joint Peninsula Shield Forces (JPSF), Major General Hassan bin Hamza Al-Shehri, in the presence of the Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi.
  • The Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received British Naval Component Commander Commodore W. J. Warrender who introduced to him his successor Commodore Steve Dainton, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • Under the Patronage of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief, a celebration to mark the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Royal Guard Special Force was held yesterday, 2 July 2017.
  • International Navies have been invited to take part in the BIDEC 2017 Warship Display.

  • Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received at the BDF’s General Command, the Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command, and the Commander of the US Fifth Fleet, Admiral Donegan Kevin, and his accompanying delegation.
  • Bahrain Defense Force Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received outgoing Chief of Joint Operations of British Forces, Lt. General John Lorimer, who accompanied his replacement Vice Admiral Timothy Peter Fraser, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • Brigadier General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa (photo), Commander of the Bahrain Royal Guard, received participants of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Special Duty Force as part of Arab Coalition Forces’ Operation Restore Hope in Yemen, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • As BIDEC 2017 draws closer, Bahrain This Week is the latest media partner to join forces with the tri-service defence exhibition taking place in October this year.

     

  • Interest in BIDEC 2017, one of the region’s most important international defence exhibitions, rises as endorsements begin.

  • DEPO Pakistan have confirmed their official support for BIDEC 2017, which will take place on 16-18 October at Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Manama.
  • Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF), Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received at the BDF’s General Command, the Commanders of the Navies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
  • The BIDEC team are currently visiting IDEF 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey, along with a Bahrain Defence Force delegation.

  • Bahrain’s King HM Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa arrived in Kuala Lumpur on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Sultan Muhammad V, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

    He also held talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Muhammad Najib Abdul Razak on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in all fields. The two sides will also spotlight regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
